Flea Market Vendor Rules & Regulations

The following rules and regulations are intended to benefit each and every vendor at the Barnecat Flea Market. We expect your cooperation and appreciate your interest and participation in helping make the Barnecat Flea Market the finest in Southern Minnesota. Failure to comply with these rules may mean being excluded from the market.

Hours Open to the Public

Open 8 AM on Saturdays (setup after 6am). The market will operate until 12 PM.

General Information

The Barnecat Flea Market is open every Saturday from May through September. The Flea Market will be closed on USA recognized holidays, OR if it is raining.

All vendors must register with Barnecat Flea Market Management BEFORE selling any items at the market. The State of Minnesota requires that Form ST19 be completed by all vendors. MN Form ST19 may be found online, or provided by management upon registration. Required information includes personal name and address. If you are a business, we require your business name, address and State/Federal Tax ID Number. A copy of these Rules and Regulation will be provided to each vendor at registration. Registration may be completed online at our Barnecat LLC website: www.barnecat.com

Alcohol, drugs, drug related items, firearms, fireworks, regulated materials, stolen materials, or counterfeit merchandise are prohibited. Vendors intentionally displaying or offering any of these products may be expelled from the market. Monies paid will not be refunded if a vendor leaves early or is expelled from the market. If merchandise is questionable, please do not offer it at the Barnecat Flea Market. Management reserves the right to inspect and determine whether merchandise is appropriate at any time. Vendors may NOT create a fire of any kind, at any time on the Flea Market premises.

Any person who conducts themselves in an objectional manner or has merchandise that is not conducive to a respectable market is subject to removal from the premises. Foul language, alcohol, drugs, or prostitution are not permitted and will not be tolerated. Foot-peddling or the selling and passing out of literature is prohibited unless authorized by Barnecat Flea Market Management.

All noise (such as music) must be kept at a reasonable level at all times. Management reserves the right to determine ‘a reasonable level’ at the market.

Vendor Space Rent

A vendor display ‘slot’ at the Flea Market is approximately a 12’ X 12’ area of space.

The cost for a display slot is $10.00 (per slot). If you require more space, then one (or more) extra slots may be rented. Slot availability and location are ‘first come, first choice’ and may not be reserved in advance. Setup time after 6am is acceptable.

All fees are to be paid in cash unless a personal check is approved by management. Sorry, no CCs. An attendee will stop-by and collect space rental fees at the Flea Market during the event.

Parking

A vendor may have one vehicle and/or trailer at your vendor display area. However, display slot rental fees may not include space for your vehicle. Extra slot fee(s) may apply.

Otherwise, parking is available on local roadways around the market area. Limited parking may be available at the 120 Main Street building located next to the Flea Market area.

PARKING NOTES: Please do not block entrance(s) to the Flea Market with your vehicle. Do Not drive or park on local sidewalks. Do not block alley ways.

Appearance and Clean-Up

Vendors are responsible to keep spaces clean at all times and to manage their own trash. All items or produce of any type along with trash must be taken with you when you leave the area. Anyone who does not comply may be subject to a fine and/or excluded from future Flea Market events.

Pets

All pets are to be on restraints at all time and are to be under your control and responsibility. The owner of a pet is responsible for any injury or damage caused by the animal. Pets are to be vaccinated and management reserves the right to request verification of vaccination. Cleanup after your pet is also expected.
